VINTAGE CLOTHING STORE
PROJECT TYPE: REBRAND

STORY
This shop was started by a Metis artist. They made this small business to give entrepreneurial opportunities to Indigenous youth. They hire youth from 14-17 to give them work experience in a field they may have interest in. This shop started as a pop up and then moved to it’s own storefront in Vancouver. This area has lots of Indigenous youth as well as multiple resources for them, such as clubs and community centres. They make this shop inclusive to everyone and allow people with low income to shop for clothes. Their prices are cheap, as to be inclusive, and they have a wide variety of styles.

LOGO
Buro means drawer or cabinet in the Metis language.
I hand drew the logo and incorporated wood style curves into the font.

MAKING THE ADS
- Photoshop -
My concept for this ad campaign was "Stand Out In Style". I knew I wanted to have a girl that was blown up surrounded by people.
I found the images I wanted to use, and then I started working on the main subject first. I cut her out using the pen tool and added her to the background. I tried to match the lighting by using curves, levels, and white / black balance.
I made a copy of the mask, and filled it with black. I used my perspective tool to make her shadow. I decreased the opacity, but kept it a bit darker on the black stripes.
ASSETS
For this project, I developed an ad campaign, business card + stationary, store merchandise, gift cards, and design elements that can be used throughout the brand
